Hi! Tired of the delaying tactics? Outraged by dishonest lawsuits?

Welcome!

You've landed on the Action Page.

The satires were fun, but the serious point is that Lafayette thinks that it would be a great Christmas present to our community for BellSouth to stop standing in our way. The people have spoken with their votes and the incumbents should stand aside. Neither a 62 to 38% loss at the polls nor repeated losses before the Public Service Commission and in the courts have convinced BellSouth to stop working to derail our fiber project. Now the Court of Appeals has overturned a sensible lower court ruling. Want to know how we can take a stand and send a message? You've come to the right place. .

First: Repeal!...

If spreading the word was fun but not completely satisfying, consider joining us in urging our state senators and representatives to repeal the law that BellSouth is using to keep us spending money, time, and energy fighting to keep what we've already voted for. Go to our Repeal! page for more information and legislators' addresses.

More: Enough Is Enough...

Want to express your feelings more directly? And directly to BellSouth? Happy to help you out. Jump to the Incumbents page to join Joey Durel, Lafayette YES! and many of your fellow citizens in telling BellSouth exactly what you think of their tactics.

Not from Lafayette? Want to know what this is all about?

We're begining to get sizable regional and national traffic from interested people outside Lafayette. If you'd like a little background about what's going on here and what motivates those tounge-in-cheek Christmas Carols click through. We'll even offer a few suggestions for what you might do to help out the larger cause of municipal broadband.
